Of course, we are happy to bring you a baby cot, blanket and pillows. ‘Older kids’ can stay in their parent’s room, too, of course. Your child would rather have their own room? ‘Maisi Flitzer’ in Kaprun

One of my most favourite places to spend quality time with my family is the Alpine Coaster ‘Maisi Flitzer’ which is located right at the entrance to the town of Kaprun. In Summer, we prefer to go there by bike. It’s a short ride that doesn’t take longer than 10 minutes if you take your time and go easy. Once we arrive, we all get into the two-seat-toboggans and off we go!

One ride on the ‘Maisi Flitzer’ takes approximately 12 minutes and you will reach speeds of up to 40 km/h. After the exciting ride, children can spend their remaining energy at the family and leisure park while their parents have a refreshing drink at the Maisi Alm restaurant.

Whizzing down the rails on the ‘Maisi Flitzer’ isn’t just worth a trip in summer. The action-packed toboggan run is open 365 days a year and always worth a visit, even in winter.

Fishing in Rauris in the Seidlwinkltal valley

This is one of our favourite family trip destinations. Not only because of the Seidwinkltal valley’s stunning beauty, which is best experienced on a hike. Also, because a particularly fun activity is waiting for you at the Landgasthof Weixen restaurant. Everything you catch in the restaurant’s fishponds can be taken home with you or be cooked for you directly at the restaurant.

Motor skills fun path in Kaprun

It doesn’t have to be about always going higher, faster, further. In most cases, you can light up your kids’ faces with just a small adventure. One of my kids’ favourite trip destinations is the motor skills fun path in Kaprun. Along the popular Tauern-Radweg cycling route, you’ll find 24 obstacles that offer the perfect opportunity to train and develop motor skills. And, of course, it’s great fun, too!

Family trip destination in winter: the cross-country skiing centre Kaprun

One of my kids’ winter highlights is a day at the cross-country skiing centre Kaprun. There always is a small snow hill created by the snow cannons, which children love to use for tobogganing. Starting from Hotel Martini, it’s roughly a 20–30 minutes walk – the perfect opportunity to combine tobogganing fun with a nice winter walk.

Just like Sepp, Heidi loves being outdoors with her family and loves exploring the Kaprun region with her children. It’s Heidi’s favourite place to spend time with her family.

Active holiday with your family: cycling to Lake Zell

I love cycling to Lake Zell with my family in summer. You can ride along cycling routes for the entire time, making it very safe even with kids. Depending on how fast you are, it will take you 45–60 minutes from Hotel Martini to the Lake. If one of the young cyclists gets tired along the way, you can simply hop on the bus back to Hotel Martini.

Skiing and tobogganing fun for the whole family at Lechnerberg mountain

Lechnerberg mountain is a true family paradise. Here, your children can practice their first turns and skiing attempts in a separate safe area. They can even participate in a skiing class at skiing school Kaprun if they want. If you prefer going tobogganing over skiing, you can take the bus up to the top of the mountain and have a great time tobogganing on the way back down. This is one of our favourite family trip destinations in winter.
